    Current Volunteer roles:

Front of House: This public facing role involves welcoming visitors to the William Morris Society, supervising temporary exhibitions and enhancing visitors’ experience at the Society’s museum.  It would suit anyone who enjoys working with people and is eager to share their enthusiasm for Morris. The duties also include serving customers and managing stock in our gift shop during public opening hours and at special events.

Learning and outreach: The aim of this role is to play a crucial part in planning and delivering sessions for school groups and family learning workshops at Kelmscott House. This would suit someone who would like to share their passion for art, design and history and who has experience of working with school-aged children. This role helps the Society to continue their charitable mandate to educate the public on all things William Morris.

Tour Guides: Volunteers with some knowledge of Morris, the Pre-Raphaelites and the Arts & Crafts movement are needed to give weekday tours to groups. This would suit someone who enjoys engaging with new audiences and sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm.
