Job Title: Weekend Duty Manager
Location: The William Morris Society, London
Reports to: Front of House Manager
Part Time, 0.2 FTE – £13.85 per hour
The William Morris Society has two exciting opportunities to join our team in the role of Weekend Duty Manager for our Museum and Shop. The William Morris Society, based in Kelmscott House, Hammersmith, operates a museum which is open to the public on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. William Morris lived in Kelmscott House for the last 18 years of his life, making it a truly significant site in the history of Morris and the Arts & Crafts Movement. The museum exists to perpetuate his life and work, making it better known and more widely appreciated.
The post-holders will be responsible for providing an exceptional visitor experience ensuring the safety of all visitors, volunteers, and the collection while maintaining the security of the site during weekend opening hours.
The Society is looking for candidates who are visitor services oriented, creative problem-solvers, and have an interest or a background in Museum Studies, Heritage or a similar field.
