To mark the latest exhibition at Kelmscott House, our October Coffee with a Curator talk will highlight some of the treasures from the collection that feature in this beautiful display.
Marion Helena Stephenson née Deverell (1885-1972) lived at Kelmscott House from 1926 to 1972. Marion was a keen Morrisian, enthusiastic collector of Morris artefacts, and friend of May Morris. In 1970 she bequeathed her home to the William Morris Society as well as many Morris treasures, including original Morris & Co. designs, embroideries by May Morris, and Kelmscott Press books, enabling the formation of the Society’s museum.
