We will be partnering with Selvedge magazine’s London Textile Month to host a very special workshop with print designer Sarah Campbell. Inspired by the delights of the natural world, Sarah will discuss different approaches to painting patterns and designs directly onto fabric. Starting with smaller practice pieces in the morning, you will be able to develop skills and ideas, and after lunch move onto painting your design directly onto a cotton tote bag or cushion cover you can take away with you.
Paints, brushes and fabrics will be provided. You may like to bring you own favourite paintbrushes, any special pattern and colour references you may have, and possibly an apron.
You will go home with new skills, your new creations and a fresh understanding of pattern and design. This workshop is open to people of all abilities and experience. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
