The William Morris Society has a world-wide membership and offers the opportunity, together with fellow Morrisians both in Britain and abroad, to perpetuate the memory of one of the greatest men of the nineteenth century. The Society also encourages the work of local, regional and national groups.
Regular events include talks on all aspects of Morris’s life and work, along with those of his circle; workshops, our annual Kelmscott Lecture, a Summer Garden Party, guided walks and visits to exhibitions and other significant places such as Red House, Kelmscott Manor, Standen and Wightwick Manor. Members are entitled to discounted tickets for Society events.
Members of the Society receive our Magazine three times a year which reports on Society events, new publications and other matters of interest to members. Members also receive the Journal of William Morris Studies, published biannually, which includes scholarly articles across the field of Morris studies and reviews of publications.
Our members are vital to the work of the Society and we are always delighted to welcome new members and expand our community in the UK and abroad. If you would like to join the William Morris Society online please do so below, or alternatively complete the Membership Form and send to the Membership Secretary.
The William Morris Society in the United States maintains close ties with its British counterpart, though it holds separate events and issues additional mailings. U.
