Morris in Oxford: Politics and Design – a walking tour

This day long walking tour of Oxford, led by Martin Stott and Jane Bingham, will include some of the places most associated with Morris as a designer and maker, and his later political engagement with the city. Lunch and any admission charges are extra. Full joining details will be confirmed a few days before the event.

Please note:

  • the walk will start promptly at 10am from a central location, which will be confirmed before the event.
  • there is a significant amount of walking during the day, much of it on cobbled streets, so do bear this in mind in terms of your fitness, attire, and especially footwear.
  • the itinerary and places visited may be subject to late changes

Martin Stott is a longtime resident of Oxford, a former city councillor and is a former Chair of The William Morris Society. Jane Bingham is a writer and art historian with a special interest in stained glass.
