How would William Morris assess actions to decolonise public memorials? Jan Marsh assesses Morris’s stance on British imperialism in the context of current debate.

Dr Jan Marsh is a curator and author or editor of numerous publications on the Pre-Raphaelite Circle. In 2019 she curated the Pre-Raphaelite Sisters exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. She was President of The William Morris Society from 2008-2018.

The 2022 Kelmscott Lecture will be held in the Coach House at Kelmscott House. The lecture will be followed by drinks which are included in the ticket price.
